Gabrielle’s heart skipped an excited beat at
the deep baritone of Luca’s voice. She looked over her shoulder, her smile
fading when she saw him glowering behind her. This wasn’t Luca as she’d seen

“Is there a problem here?” Luca asked.
“Nothing I can’t handle.” She smiled at Ron.
“This is the friend I thought I saw.”
